 HDR10 and DisplayHDR 400 are both technologies related to high dynamic range (HDR) display technology.HDR is a technology that allows for a wider range of colors brightness levels and contrast on displays.This results in a more immersive viewing experience with more vivid colors and brighter whites while also providing deeper blacks and better shadow detail.


HDR10 is a type of HDR standard used in many HDR-capable displays including televisions and computer monitors.It uses a 10-bit color depth allowing for up to 1.07 billion colors to be displayed and supports a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.HDR10 is an open standard and is widely supported by many manufacturers.


DisplayHDR 400 on the other hand is a certification standard created by VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) for computer monitors.To be certified as DisplayHDR 400 a monitor must meet certain requirements including a peak brightness of 400 nits and support for local dimming.This certification ensures that the monitor is capable of providing a good HDR experience for users even though it may not be as high-end as some other HDR displays.


Overall HDR technology is rapidly becoming more popular and can greatly enhance the viewing experience for users whether they are watching movies playing games or using their computer for other tasks.
